ABOUT THE BOOK—

The movies depict heroes with cool superpowers, dashing outfits, grand entrances. But the real kind of hero unfortunately isn’t so popular—even within the church.

Heroes Kneel goes back to the roots of Christianity in search of true heroism. One by one, God’s servants reveal heaven’s definition of a hero and how the Savior fulfills it all.

Can you imagine a world full of real heroes? That is what this book is about.

ABOUT HEROES KNEEL

What people are saying…

A sample from Heroes Kneel:

Our world is built on giving.

The sun sends heat to an otherwise frozen earth. Plants afford creatures their precious oxygen. One lifeform breathes its last, and decomposition brings nutrients to another. The planet pulses with giving at every turn, yet mankind struggles to cheerfully follow suit.

The losses are stacking up. Just watch the news. Global horrors have become a staple, flagrant greed the norm. All the while, depression skyrockets as media outlets sell the pursuit of happiness on interest.

Thankfully, our Creator doesn’t expect us to fix ourselves. Rather, He gave us His Son and simply calls us to seek Him. It is in this seeking that we find the Satisfier of our souls. Nothing else will do.

If marriages are to be healed, workplaces optimized, friendships mended, wars stopped, then Jesus must be followed as the Lord and Leading Servant from whom all life flows.

It’s time to resurrect passion for God’s Word and zeal for selfless service. Come get to know Jesus the same way He revealed Himself to the disciples—through the Old Testament!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR—

Raised in small town Illinois, Alex W. Foley began his adventures by acquiring a bachelor’s in astrophysics from the University of Illinois. Meanwhile, his side gigs included everything from coaching tennis to writing poetry to roofing. Eventually, after surrendering to Christ in 2014, Alex completed his master’s in theological studies and spent time in South Asia equipping the persecuted church.

Now residing in Iowa, Alex writes as the research director for Developing Great Relationships, a non-profit that organizes biblical retreats and conferences to fortify marriages. Even outside of work, Alex loves to study the Word of God and share it with others, bringing his passion for the Scriptures to an increasing number of church pulpits, college ministries, and youth events.

In his free time, Alex loves to enjoy the great outdoors with his amazing wife and young daughter, as well as playing chess, conquering new disc golf courses, and singing in a barbershop quartet.

Discover the hero within and transform the world around you.
